Nokia’s latest smartphone, the Nokia X6, was recently spotted listed on a Bluetooth certification site. This device is most likely to be the Nokia X, which has garnered a lot of media attention and will be named as Nokia X6 instead. The device has been spotted with a model number TA-1099 on the certification website, which also mentioned that the device will feature Bluetooth 5.0. HMD had hinted that the phone is set to be launched in China this May 16th and with this latest listing, this might turn out to be accurate.
Apart from the X6, three other smartphones from Nokia 7 plus series were also spotted on Russian Certification site with models numbers TA-1075, TA-1105 and TA-1116, although no other information including device name or specifications were made available.
The X6, which is set for release later this year, will run on the Android Oreo 8.1. The phones specifications were leaked on its TENNA listing, last month. The device will be the first in Nokia’s line-up to feature a notch, a trend created by the IPhone X. It will also be powered by the Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC and will be released under three RAM variants – 3 GB, 4 GB or 6 GB. The internal device storage will be decided based on the RAM and will have two variants – 32 GB and 64 GB, which can be expanded using a microSD card. It also had dual 16 MP rear camera with fingerprint sensor and 5.8 inch full HD+ display.
