In a recent event in Brazil, Motorola unveiled its latest smartphones in its G series line – G6, G6 Play and G6 Plus.
Yesterday, Motorola India teased on Twitter that the G6 & G6 Play will be released in India soon. The G6 was priced at approximately Rs. 16,900 and the G6 Play was priced at Rs. 13,500. It is unknown if the same prices will be used by Motorola in India as well. An exact launch date has also not been released.
The G6 Play is a budget offering in the G series and packs powerful specifications in a low to mid cost mobile. The phone features a 5.7 inch HD+ Max Vision IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device will support dual SIMs (nano) and will operate on the Android Oreo 8.0 OS.
The G6 Play is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 427 SoC, an Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 308 GPU. The phone comes with two variants – 2 GB of RAM and 3 GB of RAM with in-built memories of 16GB and 32GB respectively. A microSD card can be used to expand the memory upto 128 GB.
The rear features a 13 MP camera accompanied by an LED flash. In the front, the device is fitted with an 8 MP selfie camera, which features an 80 degree lens. The phone also features a 4000 mAh battery.
